If you have searched for carpet cleaning prices around the North Shore, you have probably seen everything from "$99 whole house" ads to quotes that only come after a sales visit. Our Carpet Cleaning Prices

We price by the room, with pre-treatment, hot water extraction and deodorizer included in every job. These are the same prices you see when you book online at www.clean128.com.

1 room$268
2 rooms$388
3 rooms$488
4 rooms$588
5 rooms$688
6 rooms$788
Carpeted stairs, 11 to 13 steps$226
Carpeted stairs, 13 to 15 steps$258

Notice the pattern: the first room is $268 and each room after that adds $100 to $120. The first room carries the setup, the equipment and the drive. Once we are in the house, every extra room is just cleaning time, so the more rooms you do in one visit, the less each one costs.

Area Rug Cleaning Prices

Rugs are cleaned in your home, on site, and priced by size. Size and condition can move the final number a little, so think of these as starting points.

4x6around $94
5x8around $124
6x9around $144
8x10around $184
9x12around $214
10x14around $244

What Should Be Included

Price only means something if you know what you are getting. A real carpet cleaning should include all of this, and ours does:

  • Pre-treatment on traffic lanes and spots so the dirt releases before extraction
  • Hot water extraction, which flushes the carpet to the backing and pulls the water and dirt back out
  • Deodorizer, applied to clean carpet so it has nothing to cover up
  • Furniture edges and corners, not just the open middle of the room
  • A walkthrough with you before we call it done

What Changes the Price

How many rooms

This is the biggest factor, and it works in your favor. Doing the bedrooms and the living room together costs far less per room than doing them on separate visits.

Stairs and hallways

Stairs are priced separately because each step is cleaned by hand with the wand. Hallways and landings usually count as part of a room or a small add-on. Send a photo and we will tell you.

Condition

Normal wear, traffic lanes and a few spots are covered by the room price. Heavy pet damage, old set-in stains or odor that has reached the pad are a conversation, because they sometimes need extra treatment and sometimes cannot be fully fixed. We will tell you honestly before we start.

Room size

We do not measure square feet for a standard bedroom or living room. Very large open-plan spaces or finished basements may count as two rooms. Again, a photo settles it fast.

About Those $99 Whole-House Deals

You have seen the ads. The way those usually work is that the $99 covers a quick surface pass, and the pre-treatment, spot work, deodorizer and "deep clean" are each added on once the technician is in your house. By the end the bill is often higher than an upfront price, and the carpet dries stiff because the cheap pass leaves solution behind.

We would rather show you the whole price first. What you see online is what you pay.

Renting a Machine vs. Hiring a Pro

A rental machine from the grocery store costs less for the day, and for a light refresh on a newer carpet it can be fine. The difference is temperature, pressure and recovery. Rental units run cooler and weaker, and they leave a lot of water and soap in the carpet. That residue attracts dirt, which is why rental-cleaned carpets often look worse a month later. Truck-mounted or professional portable hot water extraction gets the carpet cleaner and leaves it drier.

How to Get the Most for Your Money

  • Bundle rooms into one visit
  • Add the couch or a rug while we are there, since the setup is already done
  • Vacuum well before we arrive so the extraction works on the ground-in dirt instead of surface debris
  • Move small items and breakables off the floor ahead of time
  • Clean once or twice a year instead of waiting until the carpet looks bad, since set-in soil costs more to get out

Carpet Cleaning Cost FAQs

How much does carpet cleaning cost for one room?

At Every Kind Cleaning, one room is $268, and the per-room price drops as you add rooms: two rooms are $388, three are $488, four are $588, five are $688 and six are $788. Pre-treatment and deodorizer are included.

How much does it cost to clean carpeted stairs?

A staircase of 11 to 13 steps is $226 and 13 to 15 steps is $258. For longer or split staircases, send a photo and we will quote it.

How much does area rug cleaning cost?

Rugs are priced by size, starting around $94 for a 4x6 and running to about $244 for a 10x14. Size and condition can move the final number a little, so treat those as starting points.

Why is the first room the most expensive?

The first room carries the setup: loading and unloading the hot water extraction equipment, pre-treating, and the drive. Every room after that only adds cleaning time, so the price per room goes down.

Is professional carpet cleaning worth it compared to renting a machine?

A rental machine runs at much lower water temperature and pressure and leaves cleaning solution in the carpet, which attracts dirt back. Hot water extraction flushes the carpet down to the backing and pulls the water, dirt and solution back out, so the carpet stays cleaner longer.
